In the spring of 2024, I had the joy of spending an unforgettable day with Lexi and Bartosz Karaban — a couple whose warmth, style, and connection made this wedding one to remember.

The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Basilica of Saint Josaphat, a landmark of Milwaukee’s historic Lincoln Village neighborhood. Set against the backdrop of soaring domes, intricate architecture, and stained-glass windows, it was the perfect place for a celebration rooted in tradition, love, and community. The Basilica's presence is grand yet intimate, and it set the tone beautifully for the rest of the day.

I’ve known Bartosz since my time living in Milwaukee, and when he reached out to ask if I’d be a part of his and Lexi’s big day, I knew this wasn’t going to be just any wedding. They were looking for something thoughtful, nostalgic, and a little different — something that would tell the full story of their day, not just document the highlights.

Not only did I provide full-day digital coverage, but I also captured moments on film and created a Super 8 highlight reel that gave the whole day an added layer of warmth and timelessness. The soft grain of the film and the dreamy flicker of Super 8 added a touch of old-school romance that suited them perfectly.
